ABOUT US
Our organization consists of a group of volunteers who are passionate about supporting community development and investing in the future of our young generation. Our goal is to provide young individuals and their families with valuable resources to address inherited obstacles and encourage healthy decision-making through the innovative ICE2 approach.
Mission: Developing Leaders Within (DLW) Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to developing the youth through educational support, skill development, and empowerment to achieve their goals.
WHAT WE DO
Our current offerings include youth mentorship, educational and entrepreneurial scholarships, community service outreach, youth basketball, youth football, and youth cheerleading.
In 2018, DLW embarked on a mission with a singular aim - to establish a community center for the people, by the people.
As 2024 kicked off with a whirlwind of activity, we had been consistently operating virtually and from multiple locations for six years. Soon after bidding farewell to our dear friend and board President, a local business owner took a leap of faith in us, granting us the opportunity to launch this community center.
Located in Conroe, this community center will stand out as the only one initiated by black founders and run by an exceptionally diverse team encompassing various races, genders, and backgrounds.
